Jesus is God’s gracious gift of Himself to humans who did not deserve Him, who could not ascend to Him, who could not stand before His perfection even if they tried. So He met us in human form, taking on flesh and yet for not one second did He leave His divinity behind. He came so He could be the just and the justifier in the Body of Jesus, as a substitutionary sacrifice for our sin.
